Updates to Privacy Statement and Privacy Notices
Jartek drives to continuously develop its business and data protection tools and reserves the right to amend this Privacy Statement. When required by applicable laws Jartek may contact you to provide information about updates or changes that affect you.
1. Purpose of this notice and data controller
The purpose of this notice is to provide you with information about how we handle personal data in our customer relationship management, sales, and marketing activities. The controller of your personal data is Jartek Group Oy and its affiliated companies (“Jartek” or “we”), which jointly determine the purposes and methods of personal data processing. Each Jartek company is accountable for managing its personal data in its own operations for the purposes and legal grounds outlined in this notice and may utilize the necessary personal data collected by other group entities for the same purposes.
Jartek is dedicated to safeguarding your personal data and acknowledges the importance of proper and lawful data handling. In cases where national laws or regulations impose stricter requirements than this notice, they will take precedence.

2. For what purpose is your personal information collected?
We gather information related to our business customers, potential leads, and collaboration partners. When carrying out sales, marketing, or customer relationship management activities, we process personal data of contact persons or decision-makers representing our customers, leads, and partners. The basis for processing personal data is an agreement, Jartek's legitimate interest (e.g., direct marketing), or your consent (e.g., relating to cookies).
The purposes for processing personal data include:
- Managing, developing, analyzing, and compiling statistics about the relationship between Jartek and its customers or partners.
- Communicating with customers, generating leads, conducting direct marketing, and targeting online advertising.
- Collecting customer feedback and conducting opinion and market surveys.
- Organizing sales and marketing events.
- Planning and improving business operations and services.
- Identifying users and managing access rights.
3. What type of information is collected about you?
We process the following data about decision-makers and contact persons of our customers, leads, and partners (including newsletter subscribers, customer portal registrants, individuals requesting quotes or contact, and event participants):
- Name, title, position, company/employer, and contact information such as postal address, email address, and phone number.
- Customer history (e.g., event participation).
- Login credentials and activity logs for electronic services, such as the customer portal.
- Segmentation and profiling data.
- Direct marketing permissions and/or restrictions.
- Any other information relevant to the business relationship.
For potential customer companies’ or organizations’ decision-makers and contact persons, we collect:
- Name, company/employer, contact information such as postal address, email address, and phone number.
- Details about the individual’s duties and position in their organization or public office.
- Permissions or restrictions related to direct marketing.
4. Where do we collect personal data from?
Personal data is collected through phone calls, meetings, or other similar methods. Data is also gathered during the establishment of customer or partnership agreements and through interactions within the customer or collaboration relationship. Additionally, personal data may originate from Jartek’s representatives based on their professional interactions with individuals or be sourced and updated from public or private registers.
5. Who do we share your personal information with, and may information be transferred outside the EU or EEA?
Unless you restrict the sharing of your information, we may disclose it to selected partners as permitted by applicable laws, to provide the required service.
We use external service providers for purposes such as maintaining mailing lists for newsletters, managing customer and partner information, and processing data for individuals participating in events. Under data protection agreements, service providers may process personal data only as necessary for delivering the agreed services.
Jartek transfers data outside the EU or EEA within the Jartek Corporation. When no adequacy decision exists from the EU Commission, Jartek applies standard contractual clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Union or other appropriate mechanisms to ensure adequate data protection. 6. How is your personal information protected, and how long is it processed?
Jartek implements physical, technical, and administrative security measures to safeguard personal data. Only authorized personnel with work-related access rights are permitted to use systems containing personal data. Jartek establishes data processing agreements with subcontractors to ensure compliance with data protection standards.
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purpose of use (e.g., during a customer or partnership relationship) or until an individual requests its deletion. In such cases, data required by law will be retained, as well as records of the deletion.
Jartek periodically reviews the necessity of retaining data. Efforts are made to ensure that outdated, incompatible, or inaccurate data is removed from the registers in line with processing purposes.
7. Your rights as a data subject
- Right to access, rectify, and delete data: You are entitled to access and review your personal data processed by Jartek, request corrections to inaccuracies, or have your data erased.
- Right to restrict or object to processing: You can object to or request limitations on data processing, including for direct marketing purposes.
- Right to withdraw consent: If processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting privacy@jartek.fi. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before the consent was withdrawn.
- Right to lodge a complaint: If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you can file a complaint with a supervisory authority in your EU Member State of residence, workplace, or where the alleged violation occurred.
- Other rights: You may request the transfer of personal data collected with your consent to another controller in a machine-readable format.
