THE NEW SERVICE MANAGER STARTED ON JANUARY 15, 2024!
Jartek's service offerings are strengthening with the appointment of Panu Koskinen as the new Service Manager. Panu's role at Jartek is a new position, bringing along a fresh customer service model. Companies in the sawmill industry are in need of a more comprehensive approach to plant maintenance, whether it involves maintenance, condition assessments, modernization, consulting, or staff training.
The selection process prioritized strong knowledge and experience in the sawmill industry and in the provision of service offerings. The goal is to assist both new and existing customers in maintaining smooth production and to provide modern and high-quality services. Panu's responsibilities include developing the new service business area, encompassing both services and spare parts sales.

What inspired you to apply to Jartek?
I am truly excited about my new role as a Service Manager at Jartek. Originally, the job interview was planned for the position of a project manager, but as the discussion progressed, we realized together that the role of a Service Manager aligns even better with both my strengths and the company's goals. The position provides an opportunity to start developing the service concept from scratch. Particularly, the diversity and scope of the role sparked my interest.
Expectations for the New Role
I am eagerly anticipating the challenges and opportunities that come with this role. The sawmill industry is already familiar to me as I have worked in the field for several years. In this position, my previous work experience is complemented by a genuine passion for the industry, providing the opportunity to offer more customer-centric service solutions.
How the beginning unfolded
The start here has been very pleasant. I have noticed a friendly atmosphere and enjoyed delightful coffee breaks with colleagues.
