JARTEK TO DELIVER A THERMAL MODIFICATION CHAMBER TO THERMALWOOD CANADA INC
Jartek is delivering a Thermal Modification Chamber with a capacity of 3 m³ to ThermalWood Canada Inc. This chamber is specifically designed for a small batch thermal treatment, ensuring compliance with strict quality standards.
ThermalWood Canada manufactures thermally modified wood for its customers' specialized products, such as musical instruments, where the final products must meet the highest quality standards. Thermally modified wood must be free of cracks, exhibit consistent color, and maintain shape stability, ensuring its suitability for demanding applications. The wood species processed include maple, ash, and oak, but the chamber is also suitable for the thermal modification of other wood species. ThermalWood Canada Inc President Robert Lennon stated, "This new kiln will also allow ThermalWood Canada to help others with R&D on new species for new products not thermally modified in the past."
The first batch of wood is scheduled for thermal treatment in the spring of 2025.
All Jartek Thermal Modification Chambers are based on ThermoWood® technology, a durable and environmentally friendly method for enhancing the properties of wood, such as moisture resistance and shape stability. This makes our technology ideal for producing high-value-added products.
